The Evidence LockerPoggy's case files

Pixar film theories

Pixar hides its darkest ideas in plain sight: a manual in a toy box, a word in a restaurant review, a fine print clause in a sequel. These are the Pixar films Poggy has put on trial, each filed as a playable case file with the receipts attached.

12 case files across 7 titles. Each one is a playable clue chain with the full Poggy investigation on YouTube at the end.

  1. Monsters Inc's Ending is a LIE (and Roz Proves It) Case 060 ·

Poggy's theory: the CDA's rescue of Boo in Monsters, Inc. is a lie, because Roz, Agent 0001, ranks her two-and-a-half-year sting above the kidnapped child, sits on the one lead her desk had, and ends the case by ordering it erased.

  2. Woody NEVER Fixed Buzz Lightyear (and the Manual Proves It) Case 044 ·

Woody never fixed Buzz Lightyear: the Toy Story 3 manual calls the deluded Space Ranger his original factory setting, and the self-aware Buzz we love is the mode anyone can switch off.

  3. Toy Story 5's Villain is a LIE (it's actually Jessie) Case 037 ·

Toy Story 5's real antagonist is Jessie, whose jealousy of Bonnie's new tablet drives every act of harm in the film while the marketed villain simply does her job.

  4. Mamá Imelda is a LIE (and the TORN PHOTO Proves It) Case 032 ·

Mamá Imelda is not the hero Coco's audience remembers: told the truth about Héctor to her face, she kept her grudge, and that grudge nearly erased him forever.

  5. Doc Hudson Wasn't Wronged (and Cars 3 Proves It) Case 026 ·

Doc Hudson wasn't pushed out of racing: his own framed headline says he was out for a single year, and Cars 3's crew chief says Doc cut himself off and hid for fifty years.

  6. Mabel is the REAL Villain of Hoppers (and George proves it) Case 025 ·

Mabel is the real villain of Hoppers: King George reads her the charges to her face, and the film still rewards her with a growth arc she never earned.

  7. Woody’s Sacrifice was a LIE (and Gabby Gabby proves it) Case 017 ·

Gabby Gabby's arc in Toy Story 4 plays as a successful operation rather than a redemption: she takes what she wants from Woody, never apologizes, and the film rewards her anyway.

  8. Toy Story 3's Ending is a LIE (and the Note Proves It) Case 014 ·

Andy never decides to give his toys away in Toy Story 3; Woody forges the instruction that sends him to Bonnie's porch, and Andy thinks his mom wrote it.

  9. Syndrome's Empire is a LIE (and NEW ATLANTIS Proves It) | The Incredibles Case 011 ·

Syndrome never built Nomanisan Island; he squatted in a vanished superhero team's abandoned government base, killed its former residents and passed the place off as his own genius.

  10. Chef Gusteau Was A FRAUD (And One Word Proves It) | Ratatouille Case 010 ·

Chef Gusteau was a fraud whose five-star genius came from a lineage of gifted rats, and once the last one was gone he was cooking blind.

  11. Stinky Pete is a CULT LEADER (and Toy Story 3 Proved Him Right) Case 009 ·

Stinky Pete runs a cult in Toy Story 2, built on a made-up origin story and a lie about himself, and Toy Story 3 later proves his warning about children came true anyway.

  12. Toy Story's Villain is a LIE (and ONE SCENE proves it) Case 004 ·

Sid Phillips is not the villain of Toy Story: his so-called mutant toys repair a broken Buzz Lightyear, which shows Sid's room is a workshop and Woody's version of events is the real lie.
