Wreck-It Ralph's ending is a LIE (and TURBO proves It)
Wreck-It Ralph (2012) — The arcade convicted him twice, on camera, in a children's film. Then it threw him a party.
Case file 036 of The Evidence Locker. Poggy's investigation into Wreck-It Ralph. Work the three exhibits, name the verdict, then watch the full film investigation on YouTube.
The film ends on a wedding gag about the swarm that nearly ate the arcade. Nobody in that room asks whose swarm it was. Open the file.
"Our job is to get the gamers to the top of that building so they can get a medal, and that's it! So stick to the program, soldier!"
That is the sergeant, out loud, to his face, hours before he touches it. The medal belongs to the players. He had already asked for one the honest way at Tapper's and been told no, so he takes the other route: a soldier is knocked cold, stripped of his armor and left shut in a broom closet, and when the sergeant barks a name across the drop ship, Ralph ███████████████████. A paying kid's round burns to the ground while he panics through it.
Now check the clock on the theft itself. He lifts the prize off its pedestal after the announcement that the arcade is closed for the night. No player. No session. Not one bug fought. And the medal is the cheapest thing he carries out of that tower, because the room it sits in is ██████████████████. The video runs the tape on the whole climb.
A borrowed name, a prize lifted after hours, and a room he was never cleared to enter. The medal was not the only thing that left that room.
"Watch it, rookie! These monsters become what they eat."
He gets the biology lecture in person, hours earlier, from the one expert in the building. Then █████████████████████████, he stumbles blind into an escape pod, and the launch throws him into a candy racing game built for nine-year-olds where nothing in the code bites. The pod crashes. The passenger is thrown clear, drops into a taffy pool, and sinks. His entire safety inspection is two words: "Sayonara, sucker!"
Then the film does something it does exactly once. While Felix and Calhoun pass overhead hunting that exact bug, the camera pans down into a tunnel and finds it alive, shell already coming up candy-bright. Nobody on screen sees it. You do. And the man who carried it in tells no one it exists: not the sergeant with the gun, not the handyman, ███████████████████████████████. He brags to her about the crash. He never mentions the passenger. The video holds on that tunnel for a reason.
One live cy-bug under a game full of children, reported to nobody, witnessed only by you. The arcade already has a word for what he is doing, and it is a dead man's name.
"Hope you're happy, junkpile. This game is going down, and it's all your fault."
Conviction number one. Delivered to his face by the neutral expert, on camera, in a children's film. His defense is that the thing died in the taffy, and you are the only witness in the building who knows what that sentence is. The ground erupts before he finishes it. Now clock who actually hears the charge. Ralph. Felix at his side. That is the entire gallery, because █████████████████████████ while the film puts her face on the arena Jumbotron above the courtroom.
Conviction number two lands minutes later from the villain, who opens with "Because of you" and has no reason to lie about it. Then the movie has ten minutes left and spends them on confetti. Nobody is charged. Nobody is told. The two people who heard the verdict hand him ███████████████████████, and the maid of honor is the girl who was never told what almost ate her. The video walks the timeline candidate by candidate and comes up empty.
