The Dark Knight's Victory is a LIE (and the Ferry proves it)
The Dark Knight (2008) — The boats didn't blow, the music swelled, and the credits rolled — but somewhere on that ferry sat a box full of votes for murder.
Batman stands over a defeated clown delivering a victory speech, and somewhere on that ferry is a box of ballots that calls him a liar.
"When the chips are down, these civilized people — they'll eat each other."
The civilian ferry held a vote, and the result was ███ for death against 140 — an overwhelming majority that proved the Joker's thesis exactly right. Nolan even raised the count from the screenplay's 340 to make the crowd more murderous. The only reason no one died is that the businessman who pushed the vote couldn't bring himself to ██████████████.
A jury that votes guilty but can't find an executioner hasn't acquitted anyone. The video opens on that box of confessions.
If the ferry was the second time Gotham proved him right, what was the first?
"If Coleman Reese isn't dead in sixty minutes, then I blow up a hospital."
The accountant █████████████ wasn't a criminal — his only crime was threatening to reveal a name. Yet office workers and commuters flood a TV studio, fire a gun through the glass, and ram a truck at the convoy. The Joker didn't even offer them anything; he just gave them a little ████.
Ordinary people formed a mob in broad daylight on cue. The video walks through every one of them.
A nudge turns a crowd into a mob — so what does a surgical, targeted push build?
"You didn't think I'd risk losing the battle for Gotham's soul in a fistfight with you. You need an ace in the hole."
The 'agent of chaos' is the movie's biggest lie. He profiled Batman at the fundraiser, then swapped the addresses so the city's best rescuer would save Dent and let Rachel die — keeping one burned, grieving man alive to become █████████. The bank heist, the bus timing, the hospital: all choreography wearing chaos as ██████████.
The smile vanished at midnight because Plan A didn't drop bodies — but Plan B was already complete. How that ace was already in the deck is the heart of the video.
